My Students

My fifth graders live in a diverse neighborhood in Queens, NY. They are an active, creative, lively group of boys and girls. They love to be active and engaged in hands-on projects that allow them to work together and communicate with each other.

My classroom is full of learners that encompass many different learning styles.

I try to incorporate a variety of strategies that help meet students' needs, such as small group work, flexible seating, choice, and project/inquiry-based learning to motivate them. I look forward to each day with them and to see what new and exciting things we can do together. I am excited to try new things and help them discover a world outside the classroom.

My Project

My students are involved in project-based learning activities, for which they must research various topics, such as Canadian Regions and Deforestation. Having a printer readily available will allow them to print the information necessary for them to work towards completing their ongoing tasks.

As writers, my students take pride in their work by publishing and celebrating their final writing pieces.

Having a printer will allow them to type and print their final pieces, as some are not able to do this at home. I want to give my students every advantage for success, and having a printer is a step in that direction.
