This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Take a look around you. Chances are there are at least 2 forms of technology within arm's reach. In today's world, everything we do revolves around technology and computers.

Our first grade class is a part of a charter school located in Paterson, NJ.

It is considered to be a transition class, as our students are below grade level. They are students that would traditionally have been retained in kindergarten. The goal of our classroom is to build them up so that they will be on a second grade level at the end of the year.

My Project

Technology is such a massive part of our daily lives today. Students need to learn at an early age, the proper ways to use this technology to enhance their learning. With the help of the iPad mini, students will be able to do a number of activities. They will be able to play phonics based games using a variety of apps. They will be able to practice typing skills, something that is vastly important since standardized testing will be completely on computers in a few short years!

Students learn differently today than 20 years ago.

The world has changed and education must change with it. Please help our students succeed by donating to our project and ensure that our students have access to the technology they desperately need!
