On SAT School Day, all of our 10th and 11th grade students will be taking the SAT and PSAT for free during the regular school day. This exciting initiative makes it easy for students to take these important assessments that help students prepare for, and be admitted to college. We're also proud to have a robust Advanced Placement program in our school, where each course culminates in an AP exam that students can use to earn college credit before they even start college.
Over the next few years, these tests are going digital, so we need to be able to power student devices during these exams.
That's why we're hoping you'll help us purchase power strips that will provide electricity to student computers as we transition to the age of digital testing. Our school building is more than 40 years old, and some classrooms only have one or two electrical outlets. We need more.
These power strips will help our students take these important exams that will help them on the path to college and the bright future they have ahead of them. Our school will also be able to use these power strips for other assessments such as Regents exams when they go digital, and for the online periodic assessments that all of our 9th and 10th graders take to track student progress and help teachers tailor their instruction.
Our amazing students and terrific teachers need these power strips to give them the boost they need to tackle tests.
