My Students

Our school is a Title I school, serving students in grades Pre-K through fifth. My third grade students are very diverse. Some of them come from various ethnic backgrounds, some come from single family homes, living in poverty-level conditions. Some have learning disabilities, and some are gifted academically.

My students deserve the absolute best there is to offer, yet often times are exposed to the worst.

I strive to provide them with the best learning opportunities, so that they can learn in ways that best fit their needs. I hope that you choose to partner with our class to help me make that happen!

My Project

We all know that there is power in letting our students turn around and teach their peers. Well, what if we changed that audience? What if our students were taking what they are taught in class and teaching it to their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, really any family member they live with? This opens them up to a whole new level of learning, while at the same time connecting and build strong bonds between families.

PowerMyLearning is a research based innovation that is proven to have a HUGE impact on student's understanding of academic concepts.

This program allows for the student to become the teacher as they share with their families what they are learning!
