This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach an 8th-grade reading intervention program as well as an 8th-grade advisory.
In Reading, the students work as a whole group and individually to develop reading skills.
I am working to form an advisory class that assists students in improving their daily school lives.
My Project
This project has only one item: A poster maker. I remember as a child, my teachers would have motivational posters, celebratory posters, and educational posters displayed.
I want to be able to create posters for our classrooms and hallways.
We often gripe about children growing up too fast, but simultaneously take the excitement and color out of schools. I want to bring it back, and this poster maker is a great start.
Holidays, reminders, celebrations, and knowledge tips should be posted all around classrooms and buildings. My school does not have poster makers, laminating machines, and even colored printers available. It's time to remember what school should be.
