My Project

11th graders love to socialize, and we're trying to harness that and put it to paper in productive ways! With large poster paper and markers, we'll be able to support group work among our students so that they can engage with primary and secondary sources, graphs, images, and more.

Our hope is that this will give students the space and resources to practice this work in groups while also creating work that we can hang in our classrooms to demonstrate exemplary work.

Students can see not only the deep analysis that their peers have collaborate on, but also see the strategies for annotation that have been effective for other groups in the classroom.

Staten Island is a melting pot of students from all over the world, and we're hoping these resources can help us build diverse student groups that foster collaboration and engagement that supports their social and academic enrichment.
