This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with an amazing group of special education students, grades 9-12. They work hard every day to learn despite their multiple disabilities. Instruction for my students in the special education program for extensive needs, is an alternate curriculum program.

Due to my students disabilities, I would like to enhance visual supports by creating posters for every lesson.

These visuals will support their comprehension, as they struggle to read, due to their disabilities.

I would also like to create motivational posters that are accessible to them as pre-printed posters are not always appropriate for their age group, abilities or needs.A poster making machine will allow me to make posters in large print and with vivid colors.
