My Students

This year starts my second year of teaching and my students are great. My second grade class is full of different levels of learners and I’ve had the opportunity to get to know them through the first week of this year. Our district is a Title I campus and there are many underprivileged students. We have a tight knit community and our students have the best staff looking after them. This year we are working on leadership skills and giving our students a “vision” for their learning. I’m beyond blessed to be a part of this school and get to know my wonderful students.

My Project

My students are bogged down by changes that have happened this year. Covid-19 has changed the way our classrooms work and I’d love to see a positive change in my students learning. The sticker rewards in the project will help me give my students fun and positive encouragement to stay on task and put first things first! They will be excited to work towards a goal and earn their favorite scented stickers or money for the Reward Treasure Box. The tiered turn in trays will help us all stay organized with a structured turn in spot where they can get their sticker/money rewards for finished work in each subject. I hope to make my classroom a more positive, rewarding experience in a time when things are so uncertain.
