Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten and first grade students have worked very hard in all subject areas. This year has been a very special year because most of my students spent the last two years learning from home so it has been a bit of an adjustment. To keep them motivated and engage with one another I have heavily relied on positive reinforcers. Once I figured out what they enjoyed for rewards I try to keep it going five days a week.

Reinforcers such as bubbles, kinetic sand, Play-doh, are things I need to replace at least once a month due to the high use.

As we get to the end of the year I want to keep up their engagement with refreshed toys so that they can keep pushing towards their end of the year reading and math goals.
