Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will be creating a studio in order to understand lighting and shadow. Students will create portraits for peers for us in a photosculpture project. These photo sculptures will be 2D/3D projects that intertwine and weave together student faces with printed objects and symbols that they identify with. Students will learn studio lighting, printing processes, collaboration, and how to write an artist statement. We will then present this work at a local city gallery for a public exhibit. Students will do artist talks and present their work to the community. Thank you.
