This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I am a dedicated 7th-grade teacher in an underprivileged urban district in Newark. Currently, none of my students have their own personal Chromebooks. They rely on school-issued devices, which are only charged at the end of the day or during brief 45-minute prep periods. I am seeking a charging tower station for my classroom that will allow my students to keep their devices powered throughout the day, ensuring they have uninterrupted access to the technology they need to succeed.
By providing a consistent and reliable source of charging, these stations will remove the barriers of uncharged Chromebooks, allowing my students to work without technological setbacks and engage fully in their lessons.
Your generous support will help remove the technological barriers that my students face, giving them a chance to fully engage in their education and succeed academically.
