Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an enthusiastic group of children who come from a variety of socioeconomic situations and special needs. Students often bring issues from home into school which affects their learning. My classroom is a safe environment where students can work with each other to fulfill their potential.

What makes my students unique is the individual backgrounds and experiences that they bring to the classroom.

They require intense small group and independent instruction to heighten their learning experience. I intend to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all students to not only increase their understanding and retention of academic content but also increase their engagement in school.

My Project

I will use these materials as fidget toys AND as manipulatives to help my students add to 20 during math lessons. The students love pop-its, so they are extremely motivating for them!

Pop-its are designed to provide a sensory and tactile experience and help children focus.

Now, we implement it into our lessons to make learning engaging and fun! These toys are a favorite by all students and will surely make our classroom much brighter and more fun.

We will use them in our math and literacy centers all year long!
