My Project

Having hands-on resources to understand our world is especially important for young students. As we study our world and how it works, students need to be able to touch, read, and see real-life examples to allow their senses to connect with their learning. The books, insect identification cards, and models in my project will allow my students to experience pollinators in a variety of ways, thus allowing them to understand the concept deeper.

Having models of the cycles of an insect's life will allow my students to touch and observe the stages of insect growth.

They will be able to attach the meaning of new vocabulary to the model. As we read the informational books together, students will be able to continue in their knowledge learning details about insect, their parts, their jobs, and how they help our world. With the information they gain, they will further their skills in writing as they transfer their knowledge to writing with details of the insects and pollinators they learn.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and motivation, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

Students will be motivated and engaged with the content and skills they are working with. They will be able to have real-life examples using the butterfly and ladybug kits and photos to understand their world. This will increase their literacy with reading, writing, and understanding of our science concepts.
