Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class consists of 21 wonderful and curious students who are learning to read and use technology. Due to the pandemic, this is the first year my students have been in a consistent classroom since 2020. My students have so much potential and are missing some key resources. They work super hard and they are eager and excited to learn. We are a Title I school and all of our students receive free meals throughout the day.

My Project

Our class needs a new pencil sharpener so that our pencils stay sharpened. We also have a monitor that sharpens the pencils and this will make it easier for my students. Additionally, I have included beautiful borders for a classroom makeover. The classroom environment matters and it can promote a calm environment for social-emotional health. My borders are calm colors and so is my bulletin board paper that I have included. This project also includes a bulletin for class jobs so that my students can have a brand new bulletin for their assigned class jobs.

Students feel excited when there is thought behind their classroom walls.

They feel invited and cared for. This project will allow my students to have beautiful bulletin boards and a pencil sharpener. My students will also have access to test dividers which will encourage them to do their very best on their exams.
