My Project

Support our high school Mental Wellness Lounge! "Poet's Peace Place"

We’re creating a calm, comfortable space where students can relax, reset, and recharge during the school day.

To bring this vision to life, we need bean bag chairs, an area rug, mindfulness coloring books, and other sensory-friendly resources to add to the room.

This Mental Wellness Lounge will provide a dedicated space for students to practice mindfulness, reduce stress, and focus on their mental health. The bean bag chairs and area rug will create a cozy, inviting environment where students can unwind during stressful moments. Mindfulness coloring books will offer a creative, relaxing way for students to focus their minds and de-escalate. Other calming resources, like fidget toys, lava lamps, and plants, will help students manage anxiety and emotions, allowing them to take a break and return to class feeling refreshed and ready to learn.

Students will benefit by having access to a quiet, supportive environment where they can practice self-care and emotional regulation. By offering a space for students to recharge, we’re encouraging better mental health, which will lead to improved focus, higher engagement, and a positive school experience overall.
