This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are fifth graders, mostly English language learners. They spend a lot of time learning the functions and rules of language. I'd love to give them the lessons and materials to explore poetry and let their language fly! It's often in these poetry lessons where students learn the most. I've used one of these resources before with great success and can't wait to delve into the other two. Thank you for considering my request. "Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words".
