This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to provide my students with books of poetry that focus on themes of self-love, self-acceptance, and mental health. Poetry can offer students a powerful and accessible way to reflect on their inner feelings and build resilience. These books will support students' emotional development and enhance our library’s collection, ensuring that they have access to inspiring works that encourage positive self-esteem and growth.
The poetry books will serve as a resource for students during challenging times, helping students build confidence and understand the importance of self-care.
By providing this collection, we aim to promote mental wellness, empathy, and empowerment in our diverse student body.
