Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a Title I school, which is considered highest poverty, our students are in need of many tools to help them build a stronger educational and active foundation. Sports and technology can help these students to bridge social gaps and learn without language being a barrier.

Not only are we a Title I school, with many of our students coming from low-income backgrounds, but we also have a large group of immigrant students who are just learning to adapt to American culture.

Our students want to learn and we want to provide them with the best opportunity and equipment to succeed at whatever they put their minds to.

My Project

Currently we are doing blended learning in our school. This means we are having to reach students at home and in school. This has lead to few (sometimes no) activities beyond class.

The goal with this project (part 3 of a project which has started) is to create a new activity for students at home and in person to engage with one another.

By adding the webcam, audiobox studio bundle and other tools, we can open up for more participants to join the podcast community. I can work with students at home to create this new show for our school. The demand is great and I really want to add more students to this growing activity to help build school spirits!
