My Students

My 21st century learners have an endless appetite for anything with technology! It's a good thing that the Internet has so many things out there for students to use! However, in order to utilize it to the fullest, and to share our part in it, we need the equipment!

Our school is set in a rural county where "going to town" might take some students 30 minutes,if not more, from their homes!

Despite this, these students have been eating up the technology that is offered through our schools, as well as what we have managed to get for our classroom. With technology, I have found that even my most reluctant learner is enthusiastic and ready to share his/her knowledge!

My Project

Our next step in this ever-changing world is to add podcasting. I would like for my students to experience the world of podcasting, as well as contribute to it themselves! We are requesting headsets to record our thoughts and even do a daily "day in review" podcast for our parents and families to hear, as well as an iPod that would help us hear the podcasts of others that will enhance our learning. There is so much great "Web 2.0" technology out there, free to those that have the equipment to utilize it!

I am asking for your help so that my students can experience this incredible technology that is available.

With your help, we can access educational podcasts, as well as learn how we, too, can contribute to the podcast world, with our thoughts and feelings about our education and our world. Will you please help us to make this possible?
