Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Mater Academy East is a Title I school where many students don't have the opportunity to purchase, or the time to read, complete novels and this class will provide them with a wonderful and exciting opportunity.

"The Popular Novel" is an exciting new class designed for 11th and 12th grade students who are eager to dive deeper into the adventure-filled world of literature.

In this course, students will explore some of our most beloved and influential novels, learning how to not only enjoy these stories but also analyze the themes, characters, and writing techniques that make them so impactful.

Through thoughtful discussions and activities, students will uncover the connections between fiction and real life, gaining a better understanding of how novels reflect society, culture, and the human experience. By the end of the course, students will have developed the skills to appreciate novels on a deeper level and recognize their relevance to the world around them.
