This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One of the most important life skills Kindergartners learn is to take pleasure in unstructured, self-directed projects. It can be a challenge for young learners to let themselves go and create with no particular goal in mind. Yet through this work, they gain confidence, solve design problems, and develop a rich vocabulary.
I am asking for materials that will enable free-form arts exploration.
Remnant papers provide an incredible and inexpensive way to add color and interest to collage projects, encourage exploration of color theory, shape, and pattern, and add an air of mystery to any arts experience (just what will we be inspired to create)? Additionally, I am requesting some colorfast tissue paper for decoupage and texture work, as well as some funnels so we can refill our glue bottles with ease. Finally, some letter beads will let learners practice phonics skills as they create mixed media projects.
