My Project

I am an occupational therapist who works with students aged 3 through 21, many with significant support needs, significant motoric impacts, and cognitive delays. Many of my students have not been receiving early intervention services due to the impacts of COVID-19 and the inability to access in-person services. For many of these students, this is their first exposure to school, and for some, they are just returning after being home for several years. I am asking for toys and activities that meet their developmental needs. Many of these items (such as some of the toys, the desktop aquarium lamps, jellyfish lamps, fiber optic lamps, and fans) are able to be switch-adapted so students with significant motor needs are able to interact with their educational environment. My students also demonstrate an array of sensory needs, and many of these items (such as the lamps and the vibrating massagers) will help to meet their underlying sensory needs for self-regulation at school.
