My middle and high school students may have severe special needs, but the bottom line is that they are still teenagers with the same dreams that all teenagers share.
One thing they dream about is their love of music. Nothing is better than beating the drums and playing in a band. Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we have obtained drums and buckets and have performed both in school and "on the road."
Despite their various challenges (severe physical disabilities, autism, learning disabilities, speech and language delays and/ or medical fragility) they participate eagerly and are so proud of their successes.
Without new drumsticks to replace the ones that have broken, the ability to include more students will be lost. Because of severe budget cuts it is more difficult to obtain supplies through the school. Any help you can give would be so very much appreciated. Thank you.
