Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with 18 wonderful and inquisitive pre-kindergarten students in a very diverse school in Brooklyn, New York. We have children from many different cultures in our class and children with many special abilities.

Our Pre-K students love to learn new things daily!

For many of these children, it is their first year in school. They are learning about themselves, others, school rules, routines, and many new concepts in various subjects! They have many opportunities to explore what kind of learners they are and learn concepts in many different ways!

My Project

COVID 19 has effected the students in so many ways. Children who should be in school full time can no longer be. It is time to improve remote learning and make it an excellent way children can learn.

I need learning materials that my students can see and can learn from online.

This means I need an actual light, large print flip charts, charts, magnetic materials to use on a magnetic board in my home, magnets, and dry erase markers. One of the biggest challenges with remote teaching through a computer screen is children have a hard time seeing the materials correctly. I really need materials they can see and understand to teach them academic concepts appropriately.
