Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Yoga has benefited me and can definitely benefit my students. Yoga fosters respect, coordination, self control, confidence and develops healthy habits. I hope I can help my students discover and enjoy this form of exercise. Please help me expose them. Its going to bring them amazing benefits

My students mostly come from extremely low income Hispanic families.

Unfortunately, they have no idea what Yoga is because they have not been exposed. They come from a low performing school and exhibit many behavior issues. Academically they are improving but physically they are not being being challenged or supported. I feel that it is important to provide some type of intervention to foster respect, balance, coordination and flexibility.

My Project

My students really need Yoga MATS, a CD and Videos in order to receive an effective, productive, positive and well prepared experience. This exposure will help them develop healthy, life-long habits that they can share with their families/neighbors. They will improve their self control and focus while having fun with their friends, They will become respectful and responsible individuals.

This is very important to me because I wish someone had done this for me when I was growing.

This form of exercise benefits you at so many levels. My students need this to progress in other areas. I would really appreciate your contribution. With your help my students will be able to participate in an experience that they will treasure forever.
