Please Help Me See My Kids Throughout Distance Learning
Help me give my students something to look forward to every day...seeing their peers and favorite staff! This will give them an opportunity to thrive and socialize at the same time!
I am currently teaching a 12:1:4 class of varying abilities. My students are near and dear to my heart and I would like to teach them during this difficult time to the best ability that I can. As of this point, I am on my third laptop. The last surviving laptop is the oldest and is very slow and not exactly compatible with the things I would like to achieve.
It is very important for me to connect face to face with my students every day.
Since day 1 of remote learning, I have been teaching live video meetings through google meet along with collaborating with my paraprofessionals, therapists, and cluster teachers. It is a joy to see how both the students and staff look forward to the time that we spend together. Each of my students is very excited to interact with all of the staff and other students every chance they get.
My Project
Getting a new laptop will help me to ensure that my students consistently see me on a daily basis without the challenges of a frozen, may be charged, maybe not charged laptop! My students and I will not need to worry if my lesson will get cut short because of my laptop. I am very lucky to have such supportive families who are willing to re-arrange their days to meet with us.
This will also improve learning further because my students will be able to further communicate with their friends and favorite staff.
It is really the highlight of everyone's day to see each other. Anything that makes my students smile I will strive to improve for them!
