Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are in desperate need of supplies. We are a school who is hosting 300 students who were displaced due to Hurricane Sandy.

My students are from a low income area.

They face many challenges on a day to day basis. Due to budget cuts, we are short of supplies. Their families often can not afford the basic school supplies. They depend on us to help them succeed in school. We are also hosting a school who was affected by Hurricane Sandy. Whatever was left of school supplies are now gone!

My Project

Many of my students don't have basic school supplies like notebooks, pens and pencils. They love displaying their group work on chart paper. My school is completely out of supplies due to budget cuts. Please help us get these materials so they can thrive academically. My students often receive the short end of the stick. Each day I try to instill in them pride and self-worth. Having these supplies provided by an outsider, would show them that other people feel they are worth it!

Having these supplies can make a big difference in my student's lives.

The basic necessities such notebooks, chart paper, crayons, pens and pencils can help them succeed academically.
