My Students

My fifth-grade students are working diligently to increase their twenty-first-century skills and self-esteem. They are highly motivated students in need of higher-level thinking opportunities. I am interested in supporting my students to achieve their dreams by helping them access their inner potential.

My students are deserving of the best the world can offer because they are our future!

They are a fun-loving, creative and dedicated group of learners coming from primarily Latino families located in suburban California. Our school has about one thousand students in a PreK-5 environment where free or reduced-price lunch is the standard. We are co-located with a magnet school on our campus.

My Project

There is nothing as heartwarming as hearing these words, “I want to do my homework, but I do not have a computer at home. Can I come to class early to use yours?” Wowzers! Having a fifth-grader want to do writing homework is a miracle itself.

Each precious student deserves to have the tools they need.

I want to provide equal access to all my students. Computer collaboration is their future.

Having this extra HP Chromebook in my classroom will help provide my students with equal access. I plan on offering before and after school hours dedicated for students to complete their online homework. I plan to reinforce 21st Century skills by continuing the use of Google Docs, Google Drawing, Google Slides, and Applied Digital Skills. We would use this Chromebook to collaborate with classmates on group assignments, continue our computer coding, and access the wealth of information on the internet.

Please help provide equity to my group of eager learners and leaders of tomorrow.
