This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need more experience with learning manipulatives. Sadly our reading curriculum doesn't provide opportunities to play reading or math games games. They need tools to manipulate letters to make words, as well as number lines to build their number sense and begin mastering number operations.

My students are motivated learners who crave socialization experiences and a gamified approach to learning.

They get plenty of screen time with the technology we have in class for interventions but they struggle to take turns and play fairly with each other. Giving them things to do together will boost more than just their achievement in Reading and Math. These items will help them to develop their oral language skills as well. Collaborative learners are more greatly engaged learners!
