Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class came back this year from remote learning, as so many others have. Learning remotely was not an easy task. My students have come to my class at various levels. It is one of my greatest challenges this year. My students are very hard working, and are enthusiastic about being back at school.

My Project

With $500 in gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers I will be able to have access to thousands of materials that are created for teachers by teachers. Reading task cards as well as games that can focus from anything like sight words, spelling patters to comprehension skills can be purchased on this website.

I have used these in the past and my students love them.

They don't realize they are getting practice in their reading skills and strategies because they are having so much fun. The pandemic has brought on many challenges and for us teachers, it has been difficult in addressing the different levels of learners during independent time while I work in small groups with students.

These gift cards would allow me to purchase materials at different levels that would interest the students and address their needs during independent time.
