Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is made up of over 75% of English Language Learners and offers many special education classes such as special day classes, PALS, and autism classes. Our school has Extended Transitional Kindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First through Fifth grade.

Despite having to live and learn during a pandemic, our students always step up and face each challenge with courage and determination.

This new school year will still have its challenges and we want to arm our students with the right tools to be ready to learn on campus, at home, and on their IPADs. No matter what the beginning of our school year will look like, our students will face it and conquer it!

My Project

We have a little over 100 ETK, TK, and Kinder students. Our students share a group of tricycles. They use them during recess, lunchtime, and P.E. However, our tricycles get beaten up pretty good by just wear and tear, the sun, and the rain. So we have to look for new ones every couple of years.

Now that we have returned to in-person learning, we want our students to enjoy being kids and enjoy the outdoors once again!

These tricycles will help them workout those gross motor skills, improve hand and eye coordination, and give them hours of wonderful fun!
