My students need basic classroom supplies such as pencils, colored pencils, and tape, as well as playground equipment to help us build community as we play outside!

My students are a group of diverse fourth graders who attend a public school in an inner-city, high-poverty neighborhood where nearly 80% of our students qualify for free and reduced price lunch.
The class of 2026 is an active group where all 26 students are hungry to learn.
I believe it takes a village to raise a kid. As their teacher, I am a member of this village, but I too need help supplying the materials necessary for a successful and engaging classroom.
My Project
Having a sharpened pencil is important when you're in school. Using colored pencils or markers for an art project or for organizing notes in your notebook make learning a lot more fun. Being able to play basketball or jumping rope during recess is more engaging than having to walk around the playground because there is no equipment.
Many students come to school with no supplies.
Your donation will provide resources that students need access to in every classroom. You will also ensure that students have something to play with on the playground. Don't you remember what fun you had during recess? I bet you had equipment to play with and your generosity will give my students similar experiences.
