My Students

Our school serves students grades ETK-8 span. We are a Title I school from the inner city public school and 100% of our students are on the federal free meal plan. Most of our students usually get dropped off and arrive to school at 7:30am and continue to stay at school till 6:00pm. Our school is their home away from home.

I work with energetic and motivated first and second graders who are eager to learn.

I would love to have the opportunity to create an environment that empowers all my students to reach their full potential as scholars and citizens of the 21st century.

My Project

Our school has many needs and funds are limited and therefore only allocated to academic endeavors such as purchasing supplement materials to increase test scores. Physical education equipment has been left to the wayside. As a result, our energetic first and second graders are left with limited sport equipment to enjoy the games of handballs, dodgeball, or kickball. Currently, we are using basketballs as handballs or kickballs to practice motor skills such as catching, throwing, and kicking during PE.

This project will bring the joy of playing at recess and practice target skills at P.E with new playground balls, hand balls and mesh bags to store and keep the balls safe.

Our students will be so excited to play during recess and play in small groups to practice and improve their fine and gross motor skills. With your generous consideration, our students will have access to the joy of recess while promoting sportsmanship, an important life skill.
