My Project

My goals are to help create opportunities for students who are in counseling to help with their social, emotional, and mental health well being. These materials will help elicit growth, healing, and connections.

NYC public school counselors have a high demand & expectation to help our children yet, we are given essentially no materials or funding.

It’s imperative to the therapeutic process to have these resources available.

These materials, such as toys, art supplies, and role-play items foster a safe and engaging environment where children feel comfortable exploring complex feelings. For students who may struggle with verbal communication, play therapy helps counselors identify underlying issues and develop personalized interventions. By using these resources, counselors can address a variety of concerns, including anxiety, trauma, social skills, and behavioral challenges, ultimately supporting students' emotional and academic success.
