Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The requested equipment—medals, softballs, flag football flags, relay batons, and discus—will provide elementary students with the tools they need to thrive in flag football and track and field. These items are essential for developing both physical and mental skills. Medals offer recognition, motivating students to push their limits and celebrate their progress. Softballs and flag football flags allow students to practice teamwork, strategy, self-discipline, and sportsmanship. Relay batons will help students refine coordination and collaboration in relay races, while discus enables them to build strength and precision in throwing events. With these tools, students will experience the joy of physical activity while improving fitness, athletic ability, and positive behavior.

The goal of this project is to provide elementary students with the equipment needed to engage in meaningful, skill-building sports experiences.

We aim to:

-Promote the importance of working together and supporting one another through flag football and track and field.

-Improve their coordination, strength, and fitness.

-Instill a growth mindset and support students in embracing effort and perseverance, not just winning.

-Inspire lifelong participation in sports by introducing students to various sports to help lay the foundation for a lifelong love of physical activity.

Our students are resilient, motivated, and full of energy. Despite challenges outside of the classroom, they demonstrate perseverance and a strong desire to succeed. They thrive when given opportunities to engage, collaborate, and grow. This project will empower them to excel in sports, build confidence, and develop important life skills. With the right equipment, they’ll be ready to shine in every athletic challenge.
