My Project

Very young children learn through play. They always have, and always will! With the push for early literacy and math skills development, your donations will help refresh our classroom environment with tools that will make phonemic awareness, print knowledge, storytelling, and math play-full and fun!

Refreshing our library with "Big" book favorites, child-friendly math-oriented titles, and a large felt board will help students engage hands-on with characters and stories that are meaningful to them.

Your donation will provide age-appropriate tools for students to learn new vocabulary and retell and recall story events. We document and proudly display our students' thoughts throughout the year on Post-it super sticky easel pads - we use a ton of it. Students absolutely love Play-Doh and will use it along with giant letters and alphabet dough stampers (perfectly sized for 3-year-old hands) to become familiar with the letters in their names and other meaningful words.

Our students will use Learning Resources Body Builders, Mathlink Cubes, Counting Cookies Cookie Jar, and shape Paper Punchers, to have fun with patterns, colors, shapes, and numbers while also strengthening our fine motor skills. Students will use their senses and wonder with anticipation what will be pulled from the Lakeshore Mystery box - always a fun way to introduce new concepts and extend learning.

We are looking forward to another wonderful year of learning and growing along with our 3s! Your donation will help us along and will be greatly appreciated for years to come.
