Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

On cold, rainy, or snowy days, students should be able to engage in play and conversation with their peers during recess. However, our school has been unable to provide students with an alternative to what we currently have them do during indoor recess: sitting and watching a movie or TV show quietly. Not only does this have a negative effect on students' morale and social lives, but it also affects their learning in the classroom. Without being provided a set amount of time to just interact with friends in a non-structured way, they come back to the classroom with too much energy, often times making it difficult to focus in the afternoon. Please consider donating to my project, which would provide our youngest students the opportunity to play fun games during indoor recess.
