This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hardworking and love to learn! One of the greatest things about teaching kindergarten is the students' enthusiasm for learning new things. We work on many projects throughout the school year. My students love to be challenged and are eager to explore new concepts.

Many of my students are English language learners and come from very diverse backgrounds.

They love to engage in hands-on learning activities. Their language skills develop when they are working with other students in fun, engaging projects!

My Project

Our classroom is very academic and students work very hard all day! Our learning centers give students a time to engage in hands-on activities, allowing them to be inventive and creative. The most popular learning centers in our classroom are ones where students can explore and be creative.

Students can develop motor skills through rolling, molding, slicing, and stamping play dough.

We need play dough, lowercase and uppercase dough stampers, and a classroom clay and dough designer set. These materials will allow my students to not only create and mold but practice letter names and sight words by stamping words in dough and developing fine motor skills! The designer kit will allow students to smooth out clay, design and decorate, and make a variety of shapes and objects.
