Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students at are eager to learn concepts in physical education. They are interested in health and sports and we would like to pique their interest in developing healthier lifestyles beyond middle school. As a first year teacher I would love to introduce this to them.

In doing so, we would love to start a trend that will encourage more children to become healthier individuals while having fun.

This would go beyond a point to start a legacy of healthier kids, healthier choices while enjoying health and physical education.

My Project

I am requesting equipment and tools for students to have for access to learning skills in the gym. Students will build structure and teamwork with color cones, footballs, beanbags. Organization for students to distinguish each team and manipulative to get.

The big dice for number games and pool noodles will allow students to practice social distance tag.

One of the rules is to have fun, what better way to do that by building connections through music with the bluetooth speaker.

Learning through these activities will provide my students activities so they can build social and cognitive skills while make it fun. This practice will give them more tools to look forward to when coming into the gym.
