Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There are plenty of positives that live plants provide in a classroom environment. Live plants give students something to care for. Students will watch the plants grow as they provide it with everything the plant needs to survive. Live plants improve our mood and mental health.

Live plants reduce stress while boosting productivity, creativity, air quality, and responsibility.

The live plants I included are easy to maintain. The squirt bottles will be assigned to our "gardeners of the week" so they can water our plants. The hanging hooks and hanging pots will be used to hang plants around our "calming corner" and "reading corner" so students can feel relaxed and cozy when reading or needing some time to calm down. The hanging plants with lights and greenery wall will be used to create our greenery corner where students will get to go to water our watch our plants grow. This will give our classroom a "greenhouse" feel. Having plants to care for in our classroom will support all students from all walks of life while teaching skills of caring for our environment and living things around us. Students will learn valuable skills and be able to have a garden of outdoor or indoor plants of their own.
