Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a unique blend of amazing transitional kindergarten students. They are bright, enthusiastic learners and rise to any challenge I present to them. I have a diverse group, even though we are a small group. 1/5 of my class is comprised of English Language Learners and about 1/4 of my class with special needs. With so many different learners in my classroom, I am constantly finding new ways to engage them.

All of my students have a passion for learning that I'm happy to encourage!

My Project

This project will help my students enjoy learning about plant life cycles by providing them with the tools they need to grow flowers at home or in the classroom. We will use these materials in addition to journaling, crafting and in depth discussions of what they observe.

In addition to plant life cycles, we are also learning how maintain our social distance while in school.

We will be using the spots to help us work outside while maintaining our 6 feet of space between us.
