Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders have very different ability levels when it comes to reading. When it's independent time they need to access the centers independently but also need to do ability level work. The baskets and the mesh bags will help them identify what work to complete.

Reading centers are super important as well as the ability to see science in action.

The plant related items will help with the last unit of science my first graders have. Our classroom is on the shaded part of the building and has low light. It is difficult to plant in the classroom so they can see how plants grow. The lighting system will help as well as seeing how hydroponics work.
