Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are the youngest group of learners at our school in Bronx, NY. We are 3 and 4 years old, and we love to explore and create everyday. We especially love art, stories, science, and problem solving.

We are enthusiastic, reflective, and resilient and now we are coming back into the classroom.

We come to school everyday ready to try out our ideas, ready to share our passions, and ready to learn new skills, and we want to make sure we stay healthy and able to learn throughout the year.

My Project

One of the units in Pre-k is Plants. Students love to learn about how seeds sprout and then grow into plants. Students gain a sense of accomplishment when they are able to take care of their plants by watering them and making sure they get plenty of sunlight. Students will measure their plants and keep track of how their plants are growing up. Finally students will think about how their plants have changed. Please help me give my students access to the rewarding opportunity of helping a seed grow up into a plant they can eat.
