Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Most of the students at my school are low-income; families often don't have the time or resources to take them to a library or bookstore, but they love books! This year, the school library has been open for the first time in their school careers, and students have been enthusiastic about borrowing books and reading.
I want our first and second graders to leave their last library class with a brand-new book to take home.
I'll be sharing summer reading resources, and the book will be a concrete reminder of the importance of reading over the summer.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
