My Project

This project will give students an opportunity to raise plants from seedlings and learn to nurture and care for these plants.

Caregiving for these plants also helps our school community to learn and care for each other!

Our students have a natural curiosity about how to help plants thrive, so this project will encourage their learning. Students will use the hydroponics seed pods to explore the scientific process. We will use the materials to conduct experiments in our school to compare seed growth and germination. Students will learn the benefits of cooperation as they work together to prepare the space, plant and tend to the seeds, and harvest the crops. Students will observe and investigate the growth of plants. Students will write in an observation journal about their planting process, record height, and graph changes over time.
