This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love anything to do with science! They are so excited about our upcoming thematic unit that is revolving around plant/animal adaptations and biomes (habitats). Currently, we don't have many resources in the classroom to help enhance there learning on these topics.

I teach a wonderful group of 3rd graders!

Our school is located in California and is categorized as Title One. This means that 70% or more of the students receive a free or reduced lunch. My students are fantastic and I want to provide them with the best education possible.

My Project

My students love science and cannot wait to get started on our next unit about plant/animal adaptations and their habitats. Our classroom is lacking resources to help them along with their learning and projects for this unit. The students will be working on three projects for this unit: Power Point presentation, magazine article, and a diorama. In order for them to effectively complete their projects they will need access to resources. These books about the different habitats, plant and animal adaptations, world atlases, and state atlases will help give them the knowledge base they need and guide them through their projects.
