My Project

This year I will be doing a plant unit with my Kindergarteners and 1st Graders. We read the book, "The Secret Garden of George Washington Carver by Gene Barretta and "Plant the Tiny Seed" by Christie Matheson. Then will use the AeroGarden to grow plants inside. This experience will allow my students to learn about the life cycle of plants, but make it fun at the same time. They will be able to see plants from a seed to a product. As a school librarian, it is important for me to incorporate literacy with STEM activities.
