Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Do you like to watch flowers grow? My students do, but they do not have the space to grow them. I teach multi-cultural third grade students at a Title I school. My students are low-income and do not have the personal gardens to explore.

Due to the school's location, it is not wise to plant a garden outside to observe. So, my class will benefit from indoor greenhouses to study plants. The students will be able to plant and track the growth of their flowers in our classroom environment.

Two indoor greenhouses would allow each student to plant seeds and make observations of the plants life cycles. Students will be able to design experiments with their plant as to how much water it needs, sunlight, and type of soil. My students grow in knowledge with hands-on experiences just as a plant grows.

Your generous support will allow my students' knowledge to bloom along with their plants and flowers. Your donation will give my students an opportunity for a hands-on, minds on learning experience they will remember for a long time.
