Help me give my students plant adaptation books (third graders) and diffraction glasses (4th graders) for the STEAM lab.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Nair's classroom raised $204

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My fourth grade classes are learning about radiant energy in the STEAM lab. They will use the diffraction glasses as they navigate an understanding of reflection, refraction, diffraction, and absorption of light! Each 4th grader will take home their own pair of diffraction glasses.
The plant adaptation books will support the 3rd graders as they study and model plant adaptations.
The class will go on a walking field trip to a nearby greenhouse to observe some desert and tropical plant adaptations firsthand. The STEAM lab has a set of carnivorous plants growing in a terrarium for students to observe. What's missing? We need some books to read! The books will support student leanring so that partners can read about our carnivorous plant friends and other plant adaptations according to their interests.
