My Students

My scholars are hard-working 4th graders who are engaged and curious to know more! Every day we chant our school creed that echoes our core values: gratitude, self-control, grit, curiosity, and zest. I'm fortunate enough to say that my scholars display these characteristics on a daily basis.

We are focused on becoming college-ready, global citizens.

While we are a Title I school, in one of the more impoverished areas in Miami-Dade, our socioeconomic backgrounds are not what define us. My 4th graders are scholars on a mission to meet their current academic goals in preparation for college and life beyond!

My Project

As a teacher, I spend countless hours on my laptop preping and planning for daily lessons with my students. This involves planning powerpoints for my reading lessons and researching new ideas to engage students to meet their academic and social development needs.

Engaged students thrive, and thriving students will be the furture leaders of our country.

In the classroom, the laptop will be used to display these lessons for students using the smartboard that I have. Having a new working laptop ensures that this lesson delivery will happen consistently at high quality.

Additionally, this new laptop with an ample amount of storage will enable me to grow my resource bank for the tools I have for students and my own learning. This laptop will be used at professional developments in and outside of school. These PD's support my development as a teacher, which in turn, continues to ensure that students are receiving a high-quality education.
